what is the difference between titanium rings sold online or in stores?
i have looked at quite a few titanium men’s wedding rings in jewelry stores and they average between $175-$400 CAD. i have found almost identical titanium rings online in various places costing between $15 and $50.
why is there such a great disparity in price and is it really worth it to pay so much more from a jewelers?
I work for a jewelry store. There is no difference. The stores that charge that much are, well ripping people off. Where I work, we do not sell titanium or tungsten rungs. Because, they are dangerous, if you every have an accident where you would need a ring cut off, you’d wind up losing a finger, because those metals can only be cut with a plasma torch. And they can not be sized. Stainless steel can be cut off using conventional means and can be sized. A good quality stainless steel wedding ring should cost between $40-$80 US with no stones.
